Force boisson - Daniel Sage & Jordi torgue
St-Saveur-en-Rue - Ardeche
For many years at our Fête du Vin in Chassignolles Daniel would come to taste and enjoy the party. He would always bring a bottle of wine he had made from the vineyard he had taken over in Ardèche and this he would quietly taste out to the winemakers in attendance and absorb the feedback.
Now his wines are some of the most sought after and for good reason. Daniel has small amounts of Gamay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay and Viognier. Most come from his vineyards in the hills of the northern Rhône and he buys some grapes from his friend Jean Delobre and from other growers further south. Daniel’s takes on these well-known varietals from a seemingly well-known area are extremely expressive.
