Julien comes from a long line of vignerons but when he took over the vineyards in 2007 he began to work them without the use of chemical pesticides or fertilisers. Having previously sold his Cinsault, Syrah, Carignan and Grenache to the local cooperative he decided to start making and bottling wine himself. He is very fortunate to have the Belhassen (Domaine Fontedicto) family as neighbours who have not only helped him in understanding how to carry out this transition in the vineyard but also how to realise his desire to make wine in as natural a way as possible.
Julien's wines are full of personality and have a maturity to them that is beyond his years.
