Les Bariolés - Claire Freist and Edoardo Veltroni
Chalus - Auvergne
Based in the pretty village of Chalus that overlooks the valley of Boudes in the southern Auvergne, Claire and Edoardo’s vineyards are on the south eastern slope and are predominantly planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Gamay, though since taking over the vines they have also planted some Syrah.
Having studied winemaking (Eduardo in Pisa, and Claire in Beaune), they met while working in vineyards in Burgundy.
In love, young and ambitious, they moved to the Auvergne to raise a family and make wine, and we are thoroughly charmed by the results!
