Fourques - Roussillon
Jean Sébastien Gioan is originally from the Auvergne but after falling in love with wine in Paris he decided to try and start making it himself. He spent some time in 2005 making wine with Thierry Puzelat and then in 2006 moved with his family to the Pyrénées Orientales and worked with Les Foulards Rouges. In 2007 Jean Francois Nicq suggested he vinify his own small parcel of Carignan in his cellar – these were Jean Sé’s first bottles of Pari Trouillas. In 2008 and 2009 he created the domaine and started to rent around 10 hectares in Les Aspres – the foothills of the Pyrénees in the shadow of Canigou.
