Notes: From a grand cru plot on steep south-facing slopes of granite. Pressed and fermented together, the wine is then aged in Alsatian foudres . Following on from the last iteration we had, a blend of 2021 and 2022, this has some 2023 as well, forming what will now be known as the Frankstein Solera . The pinot gris brings some darker fruit and a bloody edge to balance the minerality and opulence of the riesling. The solera ageing brings a nutty edge, and leans into the salty edge that this has.

Dambach la Ville - Alsace
Dambach-la-Ville is an ancient fortified village on the eastern slopes of the Voges in north eastern France. Situated to the north of Colmar, the first recorded mention of the village was in Gallo-Roman times and it has been heavily involved in wine trade since the Middle Ages, even now it's still a popular stop on the modern-day 'Route des vins d'Alsace'.
