Producer: Marie & Vincent Tricot
Region: Auvergne
Grapes: Gamay d’Auvergne
Style: Red
ALC: 13%
Size: 75cl bottle
Notes: From a small plot of old gamay d'Auvergne vines planted between 1964-72. 80% is destemmed, and the fruit is macerated for 17 days. The wine is aged in a mix of stoneware jars, barrels, and foudre for 11 months. This is the weightier and more brooding companion to the lithe and fruit-forward Petites Fleur - dark fruit, dense inky tannin, with that classic Auvergnat smokiness on the finish.
