Notes: A classic from the Tricots, Chardonnay from a south-facing plot planted in 1999, pressed off and aged for a year in a mix of fûts and stoneware jars. Escargot 2024 is leaner, with a stony mineral core. The fruit was picked in 2 stages – early in the harvest, and one much later, so riper – which brings an opulent, creamy quality to the wine.

Vincent and Marie had worked in Beaujolais in the 1990s and were heavily influenced by the work of Jules Chauvet, Marcel Lapierre et al.
