Notes: Some of Seb and Emeline’s older vines (about 50 years old) planted over flint and red clay. The grapes are destemmed, macerated for 25 days on the skins, then aged for 36 months in old barrels. The long ageing here has brought warmth and softness to the green tannins and spice of Cab franc. The spice here is comforting and rounds the palate off nicely.

Notes: From their some of their oldest vines (roughly 70 years old on limestone and clay). The grapes are destemmed and macerated for about 25 days before ageing for 2 years in old barrels. This is pitch perfect Cabernet Franc, and it really show how elegant and fine the grape can be. Smooth tannins, ripe hedgerow fruit, and a touch of green spice at the end.

Notes: This is from a 70 year-old plot. The fruit is destemmed, macerated for 35 days, and then aged 3 years in old 228lt barrels. The nose is smokey, with the spice and green notes of tobacco, but the palate is a lot more fruit forward than you’d expect. The depth of blackcurrant with a hint of spice. This is just lovely.
