Notes: From Davide’s oldest vines, around 70 years old, grown on the volcanic slopes in Gambellara. The grapes are macerated for about 5 days in open top tanks, before pressing and ageing in old barrels. This is deep and unctuous, with some pithy seville orange marmalade notes.

Gambellara - Veneto

Davide has 3 hectares of Garganega and Merlot on the volcanic soils of Gambellara. His grandfather and father had planted the vines and previously sold the grapes to a cooperative. In 2006 Davide decided to start using the grapes to make their own wine. He has a small amount of old Garganega vines planted 40+ years ago – he vinifies and bottles this separately.
