Manu has been collecting small parcels of vines on the outskirts of Clermont for the past five years. He now has a couple of hectares made up of tiny plots all planted on basalt rich soils of varying densities.
The area around Clermont is full of abandoned parcels of vines but their owners are often reluctant to sell or rent. A lot of this is because of inheritance laws and paperwork.
Manu has also taken over an orchard with which he has made a cider also using some quince and medlar trees.
