Notes: We’re never quite sure whether to list this as a pink or an orange wine, but it is marked as a “rosat” on the label. The garnacha is destemmed and macerated for 3 hours. The result is pinkish in colour, with a real pithy, grapefruit like tannin and acidity. Regardless of where on a wine list it should go, it is absolutely delicious!

Sant Climent Sescebes - Catalunya - Spain

Barbara and Joan Carles Torres make wine on the windswept slopes of the Aspres des Alberes, just over the border from France. They grow Grenache predominantly, which seems to really enjoy the granite soil by expressing itself with tension in the glass, but also grow olives and small plots of other grape varieties.
