Notes: This is from 8 different plots around the villages of Pagondas, Platanos, and Karvounis. There’s a freshness and zestiness, and the floral Muscat and spiced apple notes are there at the finish.

Notes: A first time for Aqueux…100% Grenache rather than Cinsault. Macerated for 3 weeks, this is still light red in colour, and in texture. There are some really classic Grenache-y notes: spiced and bloody. And all this is balanced by a heady fig leaf note and a lick of salt and acidity.

Notes: The grapes are harvested from Mattia and Chiara’s plot in the Hérault. The Viognier is macerated in whole bunches in the direct press juice of the Muscat for 10 days. It begins with intense pineapple-y brightness and crunchy tannins, but as it opens up it becomes more peachy/apricoty with lovely bitter notes.

Mead that Aurélien makes with Provençal lavender honey from the Plateau de Valensole. Spring water is added to dilute the honey, and a touch of white grape must is added.

More pith, spice, and secondary herbal notes are abound in this new vintage of Cerretina. One to have with a hearty fish stew… maybe a cacciucco!

Notes: A welcome return of this exceptional Tuscan rosato – rich, bold, bloody, but also bursting with ripe fruit and a refreshing backbone of acidity. Juice from sangiovese is ‘bled’ from a tank after 8 hours, before fermentation in concrete tanks. The base wine is then combined with the skins of Trebbiano and Malvasia from the following year and fermented together. This rosato is only made in certain years!
