La Combe aux Reves – Greg & Judi Perron
Journans - Bugey
Grégoire and Judicaëlle settled in l’Ain not far from Bourg-en-Bresse at the edge of Bugey in 2010. They bought just over 2 hectares of a real mix of old vines: Poulsard, Chardonnay, Gamay, Pinot Noir, Mondeuse Noir, Gueusche Noir, Durif, Altesse, Jacquere, Savagnin…
While technically part of the Jura Massif the plantings show that we are really at the crossroads of a few regions - Jura, Savoie, Beaujolais and Burgundy. The wines are predominantly defined by parcel (though not always) and are really show the diversity of their parentage. Greg and Judi make really intriguing wines: always vivacious and sprightly with wonderful minerality and structure; Alpine influenced Jacquere and more serious Gamay and Pinot Noir. We are delighted to have them.
